Runaround Kent Community Series Terms & Conditions
The following Terms and Conditions apply to the Runaround Kent Community Series (the “Event”), organised by Embrace Ultra Ltd (the “Organiser”).
By attending or participating in any Runaround Kent event, you agree to these Terms in full.
1. Event Overview
1.1 Runaround Kent is a series of community trail runs held regularly across various locations in Kent.
1.2 Runs are typically between 8–12 miles and take place on mixed trail terrain, including undulating and uneven ground.
1.3 The Event is community-led and non-competitive, with a focus on shared running and social participation.
1.4 Participation may be open to Embrace Trail Run Club members and invited participants, as specified for each event.
2. Participant Eligibility
2.1 Participants must be aged 18 years or older.
2.2 Participants must have an appropriate level of fitness and experience to complete the distance and terrain.
2.3 By attending, you confirm that you are medically fit to participate in trail running activities.
3. Nature of the Event
3.1 Runaround Kent is a community run, not a race or formally marshalled event.
3.2 There are no road closures, marshals, or medical support provided.
3.3 Participants are responsible for their own navigation, safety, and decision-making throughout the run.
4. Safety and Personal Responsibility
4.1 The Event is self-supported. No aid stations, food or drink will be provided.
4.2 Participants must carry appropriate kit, including:

Suitable footwear

Weather-appropriate clothing

Hydration and nutrition

A fully charged mobile phone
4.3 Routes are unmarked. GPX files or route guidance may be provided in advance.
4.4 Participants are responsible for familiarising themselves with the route before starting.
4.5 Trail running involves inherent risks, including:

Uneven terrain

Weather conditions
-
Natural obstacles
Participation is entirely at your own risk.
4.6 The Organiser reserves the right to modify, shorten, postpone or cancel a run if conditions are deemed unsafe.
5. Group Running and Conduct
5.1 Runs are intended to be social and inclusive.
5.2 Participants should:

Be respectful to others

Support fellow runners where possible

Run within their own ability
5.3 No one should knowingly leave another participant in difficulty.
5.4 The Organiser reserves the right to remove participants for unsafe, inappropriate or disruptive behaviour.
6. Trail Etiquette
6.1 Participants must respect other trail users, including walkers, cyclists and horse riders.
6.2 Participants must:

Give way where appropriate

Follow countryside codes

Avoid damage to trails and surrounding environment
6.3 Leave no trace — all waste must be carried and disposed of responsibly.
7. Dogs and Children
7.1 Dogs are not permitted unless explicitly stated for a specific run.
7.2 Participants must be aged 18 or over.
8. Parking and Facilities
8.1 Parking arrangements vary by location and may be limited.
8.2 Participants are responsible for:

Paying any associated fees
8.3 Facilities such as toilets or cafés may not be available at all locations.
9. Liability
9.1 By participating, you acknowledge that trail running carries inherent risks, including injury or death.
9.2 You agree to take full responsibility for your participation.
9.3 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Embrace Ultra Ltd shall not be liable for:

Injury, illness or death (except where caused by negligence)

Loss or damage to personal property

Any indirect or consequential loss
10. Insurance
10.1 Participants are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate personal insurance if required.
10.2 The Organiser does not provide individual participant insurance cover.
11. Registration and Communication
11.1 Event details, including routes and meeting points, will be shared in advance via official communication channels, including:

Club platforms (e.g. Spaces by Wix)

Email or social channels
11.2 The Organiser reserves the right to limit participant numbers where necessary.
12. Amendments
12.1 The Organiser reserves the right to amend these Terms or any aspect of the Event at any time.
12.2 Continued participation constitutes acceptance of any updated Terms.
