Runaround Kent Community Series Terms and Conditions

 

The following terms and conditions apply to the Runaround Kent Community Series (the “Event”), hosted by Embrace Ultra (the “Organizer”). By participating, you agree to these terms and conditions in their entirety.

1. Event Overview
1.1. The Event is a series of community trail runs held monthly across various locations in Kent.  
1.2. Each run is approximately 10 miles, featuring looped or out-and-back routes on trails.  
1.3. The Event is free to participate in and is exclusively available to UltraConnected members.  

 

2. Participant Eligibility
2.1. Participants must be aged 18 years or older.  
2.2. Participants must have the fitness level required to complete a 10-mile trail run, including undulating terrain.

3. Safety and Personal Responsibility
3.1. The Event is self-supported; no aid stations, food, or drink will be provided.  
3.2. Participants are responsible for bringing their own hydration, nutrition, and appropriate gear, including suitable footwear and clothing.  
3.3. Routes are unmarked, and GPX files will be provided for navigation. Participants must familiarize themselves with the route prior to the run.  
3.4. Trail running involves inherent risks, including uneven terrain, weather conditions, and natural obstacles. Participants take part at their own risk.  
3.5. The Organizer monitors weather conditions leading up to the Event and reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or modify routes as necessary for safety reasons.  
3.6. Participants are advised to run within their abilities and are responsible for managing their own health and well-being during the Event.

4. Conduct and Trail Etiquette
4.1. Participants must respect other trail users, including walkers, cyclists, and horse riders.  
4.2. Leave no trace: participants must not litter and should carry out all personal waste.  
4.3. Participants should stick to designated trails to minimize environmental impact and avoid damaging vegetation or wildlife habitats.  
4.4. The use of headphones is discouraged to maintain awareness of surroundings and other trail users.

5. Dogs and Children
5.1. Dogs are not permitted at the Event to ensure the comfort and safety of all participants.  
5.2. Children under the age of 18 are not allowed to participate due to the length and difficulty of the routes.

6. Parking and Facilities
6.1. Parking is available at the start/finish locations; however, availability and fees may vary depending on the venue.  
6.2. Participants are responsible for any parking charges incurred.  
6.3. Facilities, including restrooms or cafés, may not be available at all locations. Specific details will be communicated for each run.

7. Liability and Insurance
7.1. By participating in the Event, participants release the Organizer from any liability for injury, loss, or damage incurred during or as a result of the Event.  
7.2. Participants are advised to have personal insurance that covers trail running activities.  
7.3. The Organizer does not accept responsibility for any incidents arising from failure to adhere to these terms and conditions.

8. Registration and Communication
8.1. Dates and routes for each run will be announced at least one month in advance.  
8.2. The Organizer reserves the right to cap the number of participants to ensure safety and maintain the quality of the Event.

9. Amendments to the Event
9.1. The Organizer reserves the right to modify, postpone, or cancel any run within the series at its discretion.  
9.2. Any changes to the Event will be communicated promptly through the UltraConnected Community Hub and other relevant channels.

By registering for and participating in the Runaround Kent Community Series, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
