Our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section aims to answer any burning questions you may have about our running events. If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please refer to the event details or terms and conditions. Will I finish your events?
Our events are designed to give you every opportunity of finishing. We offer long cut offs, well stocked and frequent aid stations, full course markings and plenty of pre/in race support. Our looped course format is also perfect for runners who are just starting out in trail & ultra running.

What do I get with my entry?

What age do I have to be to enter your Events?
To take part in our Events, the Participant must be aged 20 or above on the day of the Event​​

In our time limited Events, where the participants completed distance can vary, the below age and maximum distance limits apply;

  • Ages 18-19. 45,000m


Why don't you offer finisher T-shirts?

We aim to make our events as sustainable as possible. For that reason we do not currently offer race finisher t-shirts and instead work with Ecologi to plant a tree with every entry.

Will I be sent my race number?
We do not send any race numbers in the post. Race numbers are collected at race registration.


Do I have to qualify to run your races?
There are no qualifying requirements for our races, however participants should ensure they're fully prepared for the event and have read our terms and conditions.


Can I run with my Dog?
Unfortunately not. Our race permits and insurance do not allow dogs to run in our events.


Am I allowed a pacer?
Pacers are only permitted at events of 100km or more. Details of pacers will be provided in the information section of eligible races.

 
Am I allowed a crew?
For most of our races crews are not permitted. Our excellent aid stations and volunteers will be there to support you. We will provide details of good support locations for friends and families to cheer you on. 

 

If a race is eligible for crews, details will be provided in the information section.
 

Can I enter a race on the day?
Bookings will close on all events when the event reaches maximum capacity or 2 days before the event takes place, whichever comes first. In both instances no further bookings can be made after this time.
 

Are your routes marked?
All our events will be fully marked. We will also provide GPX maps which participants can download to their GPS watches


What will I get at your aid stations?
We will have well stocked aid stations offering a variety of sweet & savoury foods suitable for all dietary requirements. We will also have a variety of drinks available.


What winners do you recognise?
Top 3 Men | Top 3 Women


How long before the start do I need to be at registration?
Event registration will open 60 minutes before the race start. We strongly encourage to arrive at registration no later than 20 minutes prior to the event. You will not be able to run if you haven't registered before the race starts.


What if I need to retire from a race?
You must in the first instance notify the race director on the number provided in your race briefing. You must also make your way to the nearest aid station and hand in your race number.


When will I see my results?
We aim to have full race results uploaded to our website within 48hours of the race finishing.


Can I have a refund if I can't run?
We do not offer refunds on any of our events. please refer to our terms and conditions to see options available to you.


I am unable to run the event, what are my options?
Please refer to our terms and conditions to see deferral / transfer options available to you.


How can I volunteer?
We'd love for you to join us as a volunteer. Please refer to our volunteer page or contact us at info@embraceultra.co.uk for for more details. 


I've never run on trail before, will I be ok?
Trail running is fantastic. Yes you will be ok and we hope you love trail running as much as we do. If its wet, we would advise wearing trail specific running trainers at our events.


The event has sold out, do you offer a wait list?
No we don't offer wait lists for our events. We will regularly update our social media pages as races approach full capacity to give runners every opportunity to bag a place.


Can I leave my bag at the start?
At our looped course events we will provide an area for participants to leave their bags. Whilst there will always be members of the race team around, personal belongings are left here at participants own risk and we cannot be held responsible for any lost/stolen items.

At our other events (+50km) we will offer a bag drop service.


Do you allow bag drops?
At certain events (+50km). Details will be provided in race information packs.


Is there a mandatory kit?
For most of our events there is no mandated kit, however we will always include a list of recommended items. Events >50km there may be mandatory kits, which will be detailed in the individual race information packs.
